Meet Our Staff

Megan, Client Care Liaison

Megan has been an integral part of our team since 2005, greeting patients and clients by name, coordinating appointments, and running the reception office. She has a passion for helping people and their animals. Her extensive experience and knowledge allow her to assist you with many of your questions and concerns. Megan’s compassion extends to helping in many ways:  she coordinates our Companion Animal Foundation funding, and has raised money for Pug Rescue of New England, Curly Tail Pug Rescue, March of Dimes and other rescues. Megan shares her life with Lord Chompington and Billy, two adorably fuzzy Lionhead bunnies. Megan’s generosity of spirit and acts of compassion and care were recognized by a client making a bequest in her honor-we all know how kind and giving Megan is, and it is good to know how appreciated her talents are.

Kimberly, Office Manager & Veterinary Technician

Kimberly joined our team in 2006. She graduated from URI with a degree in Animal Science.  In addition to her nursing duties she also manages Inventory. If your pet needs a special medication, Kimberly makes sure it is available. Her calm, upbeat personality always puts everyone, two and four legged, at ease. Her interests include adrenal gland diseases, gentle animal handling and dentistry. Kimberly’s two happy dogs, Trinidad and Tobago Buddy, are both rescues. If your pet needs an extra soft towel to cuddle in or gentle words of encouragement when worried, we can all count on Kimberly.

Shana, CPDT, Veterinary Technician

Shana joined our team in 2012 as A Veterinary Assistant and has an extensive background in shelter care. She has a BA in Music from Wheaton College and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT). Shana’s interests include science-based positive reinforcement training, low stress animal handling and reducing the need for animal shelters.  Shana is committed to kindness in all aspects of her life, and we believe her training in music contributes to her skills as a sensitive communicator and trainer. She shares her life with Jake, a retriever mix, two cats, Legs and JP Lovecraft, and 2 goats, Lloyd and Floyd, all rescues. If your pet could benefit from learning something new, you can arrange training with Shana through Happy Dog Private Training.

Marie, Veterinary Technician

Marie joined our team in 2013. She comes to us with many years of experience in the veterinary field. Her cheerful smile and caring personality make her a wonderful complement to our team. Marie has a positive, upbeat outlook on life which our patients seem to sense. She has a handsome and sweet Schnauzer named Teddy who joins her in cheering on her favorite team with his wardrobe of Redsox sportswear! Marie's caring nature extends to helping in another way; she participates in local 5K charity races benefitting a variety of causes. We are lucky to have Marie to brighten our day.
